Return to Course Schedule
| Our final week in the developing world is a synthesis and
"launching" experience. In the problem-solving, priority-setting cycle, we
move to Program formulations and their clinical applications in Nutrition and Population,
including realistic obstetric techniques for "Safe Motherhood." |
 |
The roles of women as political activists and as mothers in developing nations are
perhaps the most crucial in the whole process of human development toward health.
 |
Our professional roles as colleague (clinician), coach (teacher), critic
(researcher) and citizen of the world are re-explored with new perspective. As
expatriate guests in other nations, we confront political and ethical controversies as
well as career opportunities and risks. |
