Week One - Three major problems

Return to Course Schedule

The opening week introduces three major problems, focusing on assessment and problem definition in nutrition, population, and infectious disease.

We begin to explore the cross-cultural, and clinical roles of health workers.

We then focus in-depth on community analysis and on teaching and learning with others, especially at the district and village level.

We debate the role of traditional healers in health care concluding on Saturday with a trek  to identify herbs of Southwestern traditional medicine.
