The IHMEC Western Regional International Health Conference was developed to bring international health programming to students and young professionals in the western states. With global health issues receiving unprecedented attention from the media and funding organizations, it is even more important that a solid network of advocates is formed. This conference hopes to foster a cohesive international health contingency in the region and help develop the next generation of leaders.
Why Go Global in the "Old Pueblo"??? Our position just sixty miles north of Mexico provides a unique opportunity to integrate a global perspective with issues relevant to border communities, Indian health and immigrant populations. Throughout the weekend you will meet inspiring men and women working hard to make a difference on a local and global scale. You will also learn about opportunities to get involved both at home and abroad.
